I really love the sense of loneliness and loss running through this movie, as well as the art! Anything focused on fossils and relics of the world left behind, interacting with the shadow beings that run through it, or just the sheer loneliness of being the only two people in such a world. The smallness of their world compared to the ocean that surrounds them.
What does the boy do after the ending of the movie? Does he try to talk to the effigy of the girl, or follow whatever strange creatures the fishermen are chasing? Does the girl still have a sense of the world to wonder at what’s reappeared? What other strange sights or fossils might she have seen before the time period we see in the movie? Have there been other odd machines, or signs of the boy’s travel?

Tokyo Mew Mew

I'm familiar with the anime, manga, A La Mode, and I plan to watch the new anime when it comes out.
Tokyo Mew Mew is like my guilty love of magical girl shows. I love it even though it doesn't really do anything different, it's just a solid entry into the genre. While I don't like Zakuro being paired with other characters, you can feel free to pair up anybody else amongst each other. I do, however, love crossover pairings involving Zakuro. I'd be happy to see her shipped with anybody else I requested in this exchange or a crossover ship with any other magical girl from media I've consumed (I'll include a list at the end of the request).
Something I love about Tokyo Mew Mew that I would love to see explored more is just how messed up the premise is. Rich guy adds animal DNA to a group of girls without their knowledge or consent, then makes them fight off an alien invasion. Zakuro had every right to be pissed off about that. I know from the manga notes that it was originally conceived as a horror manga. I'd love to see this premise played for horror.
For a less horrory idea, I love the idea of Zakuro's wolf instincts causing issues when working, maybe seeing something sets off her wolf instincts, she reacts without realizing it and then has to deal with the consequences.
I also love the idea of seeing Zakuro interact with other magical girls. It's just something I really get a kick out of.
Another crossover idea is I've always loved the idea of a Marvel version of Zakuro who was a mutant and her wolf aspects were part of a mutation. I think that would be cool, especially seeing how she tries to deal with it and how it impacts her career.

Ships: Any combination of requested characters. Incest is welcome (I'd even love creating new incest bonds between the requested characters). Threesomes/Moresomes are also great as long as it is a closed relationship.
Marvel is so complicated and so simple. It is a constant cycle of forever changing the status quo and then returning to previous status quos. I don't know everything about my favorite characters so if what you create includes comic knowledge that I don't have then just give me some author notes or links to the relevant wiki pages. I'm also just fine with a vague canon state that doesn't necessarily have to be any point in canon but fits the common perception of Marvel status quo.
I love canon set fics, I love canon divergences, I love AUs that aren't mundane. I definitely tend to prefer darker content. I love monster girls, witch craft, yandere, winter, rain, and fairy tales.
Felicia is just so cool. I love how she is the best thief in Marvel. I like that she is a sexy character, who uses it as a tool. I love that she's canonically bi. I just want her to steal all of the pretty gems and all of the pretty hearts. I do like her friendship with Peter Parker, but I don't like them dating.
Scott has always been one of my favorites ever since I was little. I always liked how he is a great tactician and field leader, but he's not so great with other people. I like that he can be such a mess, but also has the weight of the world on his shoulders.
Jean is great! She is compassionate and warm, but that doesn't mean she can't throw down with the rest of them. There is the whole complicated question of how much of her is the Phoenix thanks to all the retcons. So many people misunderstand the Dark Phoenix Saga. It isn't about a woman who went power mad, it is about a woman who has just gone through horrible gaslighting and likely sexual assault at the hands of the Hellfire Club. While I do love Jean as the Phoenix, I also like that she and the Phoenix have broken up for the time being and Jean is just herself for the first time in decades.
Poor Madelyne got treated so horribly. I do think that her marriage to Scott was breaking down even before Jean came back to life. She just wants to be recognized as her own person. I would love to see her take on a dark antihero role. I also would love some way that she and Jean could start to see each other as sisters. Or, you know, she could just take over the entire Marvel universe and turn into her demonic kingdom, that's cool too.
Lorna was the second female character to join the X-Men, and is a current member. I love both her original look and her current one. I love her bond with Pietro and want to see it come back. I'm really hoping the two can get on a team together sooner, rather than later. I also liked her as a mentor for the time displaced X-Men in X-Men Blue. Even though Marvel hasn't undone the not a mutant retcon for the Maximoffs yet (I hate that retcon), I loved seeing Lorna and Wanda view each other as sisters.
Pietro gets so little love from Marvel. I like how his powers make it difficult to deal with everyday people. I find it funny that he is considered the asshole of the family yet he seems to have less villain moments than the rest (whether due to ideals, possession, or mental instability). I like see him interacting with the mutant side of Marvel. I feel that the not mutants and not related to Magneto retcons hurt Pietro so much and all the retcons since then have just been aiding Wanda and not him. So much of his stuff is his complicated relationship with his father. Pietro on X-Factor is great, but I'd love to see him on the X-Men.
You know you'd think after Marvel did the female character goes crazy thing with both Jean and Madelyne that they would be satisfied, but then they did it again with Wanda. I like how Wanda started out as a probability altering mutant who eventually added magic into her repertoire. I love her creating the mutant afterlife and I'd love to see her defending it. Bonding with other characters would be great, especially with Madelyne.
When it comes to the parentage of the Maximoffs I prefer their mother being Natalya Maximoff and then either her being the same person as Magda or that Natalya is another woman Magneto had a relationship with.

I love the X-Men movies so much! They were such a big deal to me when I saw the first one in theaters. It was an amazing experience. I don't like the movie Logan. I think it is an excellent movie, I just don't care for it and would prefer it not be referenced. Deadpool movies and New Mutants are fine to reference!
Scott has always been one of my favorite superhero characters. I love his leadership and his relationship with Jean. I think James Marsden did an excellent job with the role. I rage quit superhero stuff when Cyclops was killed in The Last Stand the way he was and only came back to them when he was brought back to life.
I loved how alternate Jean was a loner despite growing up in a school for mutants. I loved how the Dark Phoenix Saga wasn't about her going dark, but was actually triumphant. I loved how she opened up to her teammates and almost the relief she had about finding people that accepted her. I don't see any contradiction between Dark Phoenix and the other movies. The Phoenix imagery in the movies was always Jean, her power level was consistent between Last Stand and Apocalypse, and never is the energy she absorbed called the Phoenix Force in Dark Phoenix.
Peter was my surprise newly liked character from the X-Men movies. I actually saw Apocalypse before I saw Days of Future Past. I love this version of him. He reminds me of X-Men Evolution's Pietro but without the baggage of Magneto's shadow over him while growing up. I like how he is shown to be consistently good with handling people younger than him. I like that he's implied to be good with tech with his sped up electronics. I headcanon that his mother is an alcoholic. I prefer that his mother be named Natalya Maximoff.

As of this sign-up, the last two episodes of this haven't aired yet, so who knows what they will reveal, but I love Royal Abbott, I just find him very compelling, and I'm hoping someone who sees this does too. I love how quiet he is except when he's pushed past his limits, I love not knowing what things are secrets he's keeping and what things are secrets even he doesn't know about himself, I love all the uncertainty and the vastness and the way he's just trying to be in the face of all that. I love that he is both the outsider and the core. I love the intensity of his interactions with everybody and everything and the way he seems to need to keep his own counsel because of how intense it all is. Or maybe it's because of how perplexing it all is. (And I love a character who's in charge but not, competent but lost.) I like him best out on the ranch by himself--or if at home or in the town still somehow by himself, even when he's trying to be part of people and sometimes even succeeding at it. I love how in the show, everything is simultaneously beautiful and bewildering, big and intimate, contained and out of control, and the whole thing is about the tension between throwing yourself to that and trying to make some kind of order.

I just root so hard for Dr. Ellie Arroway pursuing bigger and bigger antennas and listening so intently to make that connection with someone/something out there, to find that meaning that everyone in the movie is looking for. I love how intelligent and even-handed and open-mindedly searching this whole movie is, how competent the characters are and how real they feel, and also how beautifully it is made, from the big outdoors vistas to the science-ing (I'm so impressed with how it managed to make a high-tension action scene out of some astronomers moving around some computers and audio equipment in order to listen to a radio signal) to the science-fiction-y machine itself. (The use of sound and silence in it worked so well with Ellie's passion, and the romance of listening and radio--and SETI, but also the busy-ness of all the talking and ideas we throw at each other.) It's a science fiction movie that's about us and what we are and what we're looking for, and that long-shot chance of maybe finding something transcendental, and how good it is to search for it.
Anything not in my DNWs inspired by and paying homage to this movie and its main character would be great. For some ideas: Maybe something about her public life and private thoughts soon after its events? Maybe something farther down the line, as she reflects on how it has effected her and what she later believes about it? Maybe the story of how the others in her lab/group decided to go all in on her project? Maybe a moment under the stars and big telescopes, listening?

I'm familiar with the anime, manga, A La Mode, and I plan to watch the new anime when it comes out.
Tokyo Mew Mew is like my guilty love of magical girl shows. I love it even though it doesn't really do anything different, it's just a solid entry into the genre. While I don't like Zakuro being paired with other characters, you can feel free to pair up anybody else amongst each other. I do, however, love crossover pairings involving Zakuro. I'd be happy to see her shipped with anybody else I requested in this exchange or a crossover ship with any other magical girl from media I've consumed (I'll include a list at the end of the request).
Something I love about Tokyo Mew Mew that I would love to see explored more is just how messed up the premise is. Rich guy adds animal DNA to a group of girls without their knowledge or consent, then makes them fight off an alien invasion. Zakuro had every right to be pissed off about that. I know from the manga notes that it was originally conceived as a horror manga. I'd love to see this premise played for horror.
For a less horrory idea, I love the idea of Zakuro's wolf instincts causing issues when working, maybe seeing something sets off her wolf instincts, she reacts without realizing it and then has to deal with the consequences.
I also love the idea of seeing Zakuro interact with other magical girls. It's just something I really get a kick out of.
Another crossover idea is I've always loved the idea of a Marvel version of Zakuro who was a mutant and her wolf aspects were part of a mutation. I think that would be cool, especially seeing how she tries to deal with it and how it impacts her career.

Marvel is so complicated and so simple. It is a constant cycle of forever changing the status quo and then returning to previous status quos. I don't know everything about my favorite characters so if what you create includes comic knowledge that I don't have then just give me some author notes or links to the relevant wiki pages. I'm also just fine with a vague canon state that doesn't necessarily have to be any point in canon but fits the common perception of Marvel status quo.
I love canon set fics, I love canon divergences, I love AUs that aren't mundane. I definitely tend to prefer darker content. I love monster girls, witch craft, yandere, winter, rain, and fairy tales.
Felicia is just so cool. I love how she is the best thief in Marvel. I like that she is a sexy character, who uses it as a tool. I love that she's canonically bi. I just want her to steal all of the pretty gems and all of the pretty hearts. I do like her friendship with Peter Parker, but I don't like them dating.
Scott has always been one of my favorites ever since I was little. I always liked how he is a great tactician and field leader, but he's not so great with other people. I like that he can be such a mess, but also has the weight of the world on his shoulders.
Jean is great! She is compassionate and warm, but that doesn't mean she can't throw down with the rest of them. There is the whole complicated question of how much of her is the Phoenix thanks to all the retcons. So many people misunderstand the Dark Phoenix Saga. It isn't about a woman who went power mad, it is about a woman who has just gone through horrible gaslighting and likely sexual assault at the hands of the Hellfire Club. While I do love Jean as the Phoenix, I also like that she and the Phoenix have broken up for the time being and Jean is just herself for the first time in decades.
Poor Madelyne got treated so horribly. I do think that her marriage to Scott was breaking down even before Jean came back to life. She just wants to be recognized as her own person. I would love to see her take on a dark antihero role. I also would love some way that she and Jean could start to see each other as sisters. Or, you know, she could just take over the entire Marvel universe and turn into her demonic kingdom, that's cool too.
Lorna was the second female character to join the X-Men, and is a current member. I love both her original look and her current one. I love her bond with Pietro and want to see it come back. I'm really hoping the two can get on a team together sooner, rather than later. I also liked her as a mentor for the time displaced X-Men in X-Men Blue. Even though Marvel hasn't undone the not a mutant retcon for the Maximoffs yet (I hate that retcon), I loved seeing Lorna and Wanda view each other as sisters.
Pietro gets so little love from Marvel. I like how his powers make it difficult to deal with everyday people. I find it funny that he is considered the asshole of the family yet he seems to have less villain moments than the rest (whether due to ideals, possession, or mental instability). I like see him interacting with the mutant side of Marvel. I feel that the not mutants and not related to Magneto retcons hurt Pietro so much and all the retcons since then have just been aiding Wanda and not him. So much of his stuff is his complicated relationship with his father. Pietro on X-Factor is great, but I'd love to see him on the X-Men.
You know you'd think after Marvel did the female character goes crazy thing with both Jean and Madelyne that they would be satisfied, but then they did it again with Wanda. I like how Wanda started out as a probability altering mutant who eventually added magic into her repertoire. I love her creating the mutant afterlife and I'd love to see her defending it. Bonding with other characters would be great, especially with Madelyne.
When it comes to the parentage of the Maximoffs I prefer their mother being Natalya Maximoff and then either her being the same person as Magda or that Natalya is another woman Magneto had a relationship with.

I love the X-Men movies so much! They were such a big deal to me when I saw the first one in theaters. It was an amazing experience. I don't like the movie Logan. I think it is an excellent movie, I just don't care for it and would prefer it not be referenced. Deadpool movies and New Mutants are fine to reference!
Scott has always been one of my favorite superhero characters. I love his leadership and his relationship with Jean. I think James Marsden did an excellent job with the role. I rage quit superhero stuff when Cyclops was killed in The Last Stand the way he was and only came back to them when he was brought back to life.
I loved how alternate Jean was a loner despite growing up in a school for mutants. I loved how the Dark Phoenix Saga wasn't about her going dark, but was actually triumphant. I loved how she opened up to her teammates and almost the relief she had about finding people that accepted her. I don't see any contradiction between Dark Phoenix and the other movies. The Phoenix imagery in the movies was always Jean, her power level was consistent between Last Stand and Apocalypse, and never is the energy she absorbed called the Phoenix Force in Dark Phoenix.
Peter was my surprise newly liked character from the X-Men movies. I actually saw Apocalypse before I saw Days of Future Past. I love this version of him. He reminds me of X-Men Evolution's Pietro but without the baggage of Magneto's shadow over him while growing up. I like how he is shown to be consistently good with handling people younger than him. I like that he's implied to be good with tech with his sped up electronics. I headcanon that his mother is an alcoholic. I prefer that his mother be named Natalya Maximoff.

As of this sign-up, the last two episodes of this haven't aired yet, so who knows what they will reveal, but I love Royal Abbott, I just find him very compelling, and I'm hoping someone who sees this does too. I love how quiet he is except when he's pushed past his limits, I love not knowing what things are secrets he's keeping and what things are secrets even he doesn't know about himself, I love all the uncertainty and the vastness and the way he's just trying to be in the face of all that. I love that he is both the outsider and the core. I love the intensity of his interactions with everybody and everything and the way he seems to need to keep his own counsel because of how intense it all is. Or maybe it's because of how perplexing it all is. (And I love a character who's in charge but not, competent but lost.) I like him best out on the ranch by himself--or if at home or in the town still somehow by himself, even when he's trying to be part of people and sometimes even succeeding at it. I love how in the show, everything is simultaneously beautiful and bewildering, big and intimate, contained and out of control, and the whole thing is about the tension between throwing yourself to that and trying to make some kind of order.

I love how intelligent and even-handed and open-mindedly searching this whole movie is, how competent the characters are and how real they feel, and also how beautifully it is made, from the big outdoors vistas to the science-ing (I'm so impressed with how it managed to make a high-tension action scene out of some astronomers moving around some computers and audio equipment in order to listen to a radio signal) to the science-fiction-y machine itself. (The use of sound and silence in it worked so well with Ellie's passion, and the romance of listening and radio--and SETI, but also the busy-ness of all the talking and ideas we throw at each other.) It's a science fiction movie that's about us and what we are and what we're looking for, and that long-shot chance of maybe finding something transcendental, and how good it is to search for it.
Anything not in my DNWs inspired by and paying homage to this movie and its main character would be great. For some ideas: Maybe something about her public life and private thoughts soon after its events? Maybe something farther down the line, as she reflects on how it has effected her and what she later believes about it? Maybe the story of how the others in her lab/group decided to go all in on her project? Maybe a moment under the stars and big telescopes, listening?

Dick is such a beautiful innocent. He's all id, experiencing everything for the first time, but in the person and position of someone who's supposed to be exactly the opposite, and it's just so charming. By all rights, he should be obnoxious, but he's not. Maybe it's the way John Lithgow plays him, maybe it's the way the other characters around him respond to him and balance him out. He's very well-meaning, and he cares about his team and the humans he meets, and he's always learning. I love the little glimpses of alien hyper-competence in the middle of his childish helplessness. I'm pretty curious about what his non-human life is like too!
